Post subject: CCTV/Time lapse software
Archived from groups: mailing>freebsd>ports, others (more info?)

I was wondering if anybody knew of any software, that can be used for
recording a CCTV video stream. That would for example, only record periods
when there is a change in the image, and also timestamp the images.

I had a look through the ports but couldn't find anything that seemed
appropiate.

I'm sick of our cars being broken into, and thought of getting a CCTV camera
for outside, I figured I could use my freebsd server as a monitoring tool,
instead of buying a load of VCR stuff.

Thanks for any suggestions, and I apologise if I posted in the wrong lists,
(ports and questions seemed most appropiate)

Greg
